Smaller volumes harvested.
Quality is good. Fruit size is small – small/medium. Ripeness is quarter – half colour.
The overcast days with cool temperatures and rain continued into this week, but warmer temperatures are forecast toward the end of the week. While this is certainly a welcome change, the amount of sunlight that the plants receive will determine the significance of the improvement to the ripening of the fruit. If there is significant improvement, we forecast that we will perform our final pick of the season in approx. 2 weeks. Half of the FW group have been harvested, with group C and D up next. Group D is loaded with good quality fruit that will carry us over into the end of the season quite well.
