The recent heatwave provided its challenges.Mostly sunny days with extreme heat. Daily temperatures ranged between 24°C - 42°C. Overnight temperatures ranged between 15°C - 33°C.
Harvest volumes have slightly dropped.
The quality of the fruit is excellent. Size is medium – medium/large. Ripeness is ½ - ¾ colour.
The recent heatwave provided its challenges mainly in the form of some expected fruit loss. We will see a decrease in harvest volumes over the coming weeks, but the majority of the fruit on the plants is still looking very good. We haven’t seen fruit that is overly soft or too forward in colour. Aside from the usual plant maintenance we are also preparing the end of season plantings for the A, B C and D houses.
