We are expecting larger harvest volumes considering that we have three patches in production and are experiencing very hot days. The cool overnight temperatures are giving the plants a rest from the daily heat. They have also been planted in virgin ground and are receiving greater care to ensure that they are not overwhelmed, contributing to a normal ripening process and maintaining plant health and fruit quality.

Quality is good.
Volumes have dropped off slightly and we will continue to have steady supply over the next fortnight. Our volumes will increase mid January when our second plantings start. They are looking excellent at the moment with very good flower set.

At the moment, harvest volumes, fruit quality, size, shape and shine are all at an optimal level. This is due to the adjustments we have made to our growing strategies and techniques as well as the favourable growing conditions.

Very small numbers were harvested this week as this is our first pick. The next harvest is forecast to take place this coming week with larger volumes being harvested in the new year. This week we planted our third last patch, the other two will be transplanted by early to mid January, which should last us to the enc of our season in May.

The most recent plantings are looking good.

Quality is good.
The current houses that are in production primarily contain younger fruit. This fruit is large in size and has not been affected by the heat wave we experienced early in the season. The most recent plantings are looking good as they are just starting to take size and develop the first flower set.

Quality is looking very good.
We will be harvesting larger volumes. For the coming week, so far plants are at their maximum health and are very vigorous. We are trialling two new varieties this season. One of these varieties is not performing as expected, while the other is performing very well. Next season we will be organising a larger trial to lift our quality further and increase yields.

This coming week we will be transplanting another patch. All earlier patches are looking good and healthy. The tomatoes on these patches are looking very good in size, shape and some have started to take colour, but not enough to begin a first harvest. We should be harvesting in the first week of the New Year.

Quality is improving by each day.

Quality is ok.
With the more accommodating weather which we’ve had over the past few days, the crops have responded accordingly. Fruit firmness is back to where it should be and looking forward, quality is improving by each day. Our hydros are coming into production this week, which will give us a boost in quantity and quality for the coming weeks.

Our patches are all looking healthy and very prolific. Overall, across all of the earlier patches there are a good number of flowers developing which is a good sign of eventual high yields. The fruit on the first hand has started to take size and is showing a green mature colour.

Our hydroponic plants and tomatoes are doing very well.
Hot days and cool nights. Daily temperatures ranged between 14°C – 32°C. Overnight temperatures ranged between 8°C - 16°C.
Harvest volumes this week were large.
Tomatoes are good in quality, shape, size and shine.
Harvest volumes for next week will remain consistent. This week we experienced a heat wave which put the early tomato plants under stress. A considerable amount of effort was directed towards managing the tomato plants through these extreme temperatures along with ensuring that they are able to recover well. Our hydroponic plants and tomatoes are doing very well and look to be in excellent health.

Our season is progressing very nicely.
Warm days and cool nights. Daily temperatures ranged between 10°C – 21°C. Overnight temperatures ranged between 5°C - 12°C.

Quality is looking very good.
Our season is progressing very nicely. We are harvesting a large number of Red Capsicums, however the Yellow Capsicums are slightly slower in ripening and therefore volumes are a bit lower. We are hopeful that with the warmer weather larger volumes will be able to be harvested.

This week has been challenging due to the extremely hot temperatures with some days reaching above 35°C. So far we are managing this well and the younger plants are adapting to these conditions. Volumes for the coming week will remain consistently high.

We are about to complete our final preparation of the ground for the last patches that have yet to be planted. This week we transplanted patch 5 of the Gourmet Tomatoes and patch 2 of the Roma Tomatoes. Currently all of the earlier planted patches are looking good as they are presenting good flower and fruit set. We should start harvesting patch 1 just before Christmas.

The second lot of planted seedlings are now in production.

Quality is very good.
The fluctuation between daily and overnight temperatures has not been ideal but the warmer daily temperature has helped the ripening of the fruit. The second lot of planted seedlings are now in production, which has also helped increase our harvest volumes. Tomatoes are looking very good in firmness, shape, colour and quality.

This coming weekend our 2020 season will come to and end.
Very hot days and hot nights. Daily temperatures ranged between 23°C – 34°C. Overnight temperatures ranged between 20°C - 23°C.

Quality is holding up ok, considering the conditions.
This coming weekend our 2020 season will come to and end. Soil tests for the chosen blocks of the 2021 season have now arrived and we can begin with the preparation along with adding biological ameliorants to improve our soil health and structure.

The warmer temperatures have considerably assisted the ripening of the fruit. Due to this, we have begun to harvest larger volumes and we expect this to remain consistent over the next 3-4 weeks.
