We have had sunny days this week with cooler nights. This has led to some morning dews, and we are seeing increased disease activity. All is under control with our plant care and we are still harvesting strong numbers considering the weather that we are experiencing.

The capsicum season will be coming to an end.
Overcast days with late showers throughout the week. Daily temperatures ranged between 16°C - 18°C. Overnight temperatures ranged between 5°C - 8°C.
Smaller volumes harvested.
Fruit quality is excellent.
The continued days of minimal sunlight have been consistent and the capsicum plants are slow to ripen the fruit. We are still harvesting smaller volumes and quality remains optimal. The capsicum season will be coming to an end very soon and our focus will remain on tomatoes until September.

Patch 7 was planted out this week.

Patch 7 was planted out this week and we’ve been very busy on all aspects of the farm. Stringing, pruning and staking. The packhouse is being cleaned up and is getting ready for our first harvest, which should be within the next two weeks. All patches are looking extremely good and fruit set is also excellent.

Mostly cloudy days with showers later in the week. Daily temperatures ranged between 16°C – 21°C. Overnight temperatures ranged between 3°C – 11°C.

Fruit quality is good. Fruit size is small/medium - medium. Ripeness is ½ - ¾ colour.
With patches 7 and 8 now finished for the season, we are focussing on the last few picks of patch 9. Our season is wrapping up, so harvest volumes are smaller, but quality still remains optimal.

We have experienced a steady week of harvesting.
Cloudy days with brief moments of sunlight throughout throughout the week. Daily temperatures ranged between 15°C - 24°C. Overnight temperatures ranged between 6°C - 12°C.

Fruit quality is good. Fruit size is medium. Ripeness is ½ - ¾.
We have experienced a steady week of harvesting. We are happy with the volumes we are harvesting considering the predominately cloudy days. Some of the older houses are finished for the season and we have began the clean up. We will be transplanting late July to begin harvesting in early November.

Capsicums are still slow.
Mostly sunny days throughout the week with cooler nights. Daily temperatures ranged between 11°C - 18°C. Overnight temperatures ranged between 3°C - 9°C.
Smaller volumes harvested.
Fruit quality is good.
We are harvesting tomatoes now and should go through to late September. Capsicums are still slow as we are struggling for good sunlight to ripen the fruit. Quality though is holding up very well.

The crops are looking very healthy and all are setting up extremely well. We will be looking for a late May start to our 2024 season. Patch 7 is due for planting early next week.

Our season is starting to wind down.
Mostly cloudy days throughout the week. Daily temperatures ranged between 16°C – 24°C. Overnight temperatures ranged between 2°C – 8°C.

Our season is starting to wind down with patches patches 7, 8 and 9 remaining. By this time next week, we will have completed harvesting from patches 7 & 8 and patch 9 will only have two picks left.

We have started harvesting for the 2024 season.
Mostly sunny days with light showers this week. Daily temperatures ranged between 26°C – 29°C. Overnight temperatures ranged between 20°C – 21°C.

Fruit quality is reasonable. Fruit size is medium. Ripeness is ½ - ¾ colour.
We have started harvesting for the 2024 season. Quality is good considering the issues our first two patches have gone through. All later patches are looking extremely good with healthy bushes and prolific flowers setting. Quality will improve with each harvest.

We are still harvesting, albeit in smaller volumes.
Cloudy days with fluctuating temperatures throughout the week. Daily temperatures ranged between 16°C - 28°C. Overnight temperatures ranged between 3°C - 11°C.

Fruit quality is good. Fruit size is medium Ripeness is ½ - ¾.
We have experienced predominately cloudy days and cooler overnight temperatures, which has led to considerable morning dew. We are still harvesting, albeit in smaller volumes, but fruit is showing good colour and size. The plants are still ripening the fruit at a healthy rate, but we are constantly adjusting our fertigation to ensure that this continues throughout the colder months.

The colder weather and less sunlight has continued into this week. As mentioned last week, we can see the end of our capsicum season and anticipate to be harvesting for another 5 weeks.

We have just planted out patch 6.
Mostly sunny days with light showers throughout the week. Daily temperatures ranged between 27°C – 32°C. Overnight temperatures ranged between 14°C – 21°C.

We have just planted out patch 6 with patch 7 due to be planted in 10 days. Patch 1 has had the second string and patch 2 is not far behind. Flower set is prolific across the first 3 patches. Weather has been excellent and looks to remain the same.

It has been a steady week with cooler days and nights. We are continuing to see a slight lull in plant productivity due to these cooler temperatures as we head into winter, but quality remans optimal. Pests and disease activity is under control and at a minimum, but is still a priority as these conditions bring on greater activity.

We can see the end of our capsicum season now.
Cloudy days throughout the week with cooler temperatures. Daily temperatures ranged between 15°C – 21°C. Overnight temperatures ranged between 6°C – 10°C.
Harvest volumes are lower than last week. They should increase slightly toward the end of the week.
Fruit quality is very good.
We can see the end of our capsicum season now. We envisage that we will be finished within 6 weeks. We will still be harvesting tomatoes right through the winter months with the new planting already showing good flower set. Our second planting is coming into full production in the next 2 weeks.

Patch 5 has been planted and doing well. Patch 1 and 2 are stacked with fruit and patch 1 specifically being stringed up this week. The first prunings are also being performed. Patch 6 will be transplanted late next week.

The crops have been coming along well this week. Patch 6 has one pick remaining. Patch 7 and 8 have multiple picks remaining and have received plant care in order to optimise ripening. Our final patch (patch 9) has now commenced with 2 clean up picks being performed.

We have experienced less sunlight and cooler days this week. We have harvested larger volumes than we were initially expecting and our plant maintenance has certainly helped manage the recent changes in weather. Our planning for next season is still underway. We will most likely begin transplanting earlier next season.

Patch 5 will be planted out early next week. All patches are doing extremely well with optimal weather conditions helping out. We are preparing the ground for the second half of our season along with starting work in getting the packing shed ready for the 2024 season.

Similarly to last week, we have remained very busy harvesting multiple patches. Harvest volumes are still large and should remain so over the next week. We are due to begin harvesting from our final patch next week. Quality has remained optimal and is still holding up well.
